Aaron William Russell, Jr., 76, of Germantown, TN, born to Aaron William Russell, Sr. and Lela Bowman Russell, entered his heavenly home Friday, November 28, 2014. He was carried home by Christ and met with a host of all his loved ones who entered before him, especially his son, Michael who died September 7, 2014, and a beloved brother, Robert Russell and his parents, Aaron and Lela Russell. Aaron went to Humes High in Memphis but graduated in Florida and also attended University of Memphis. He joined the Air Force spending time in Alaska and Mac Dill AFB in Tampa. Aaron married Lama Higgins in 1958 and they had two sons, Michael Houston and Aaron Anthony Russell. They were blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Charles Russell; his sister, Francis Bradford and his aunt, Faye Ingle. Aaron was a wonderful son, father, husband and friend. He was a man''s man and was known for his generosity and outstanding golf and poker skills. Aaron was so loved by his wife of 56 years and will be missed by her and his entire family. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2014 with services to follow at 1 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church 8816 Poplar Pike, Germantown, TN. Interment will be in Forest Hill East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital.
