Ada Scroggins passed away peacefully on Friday, August 01, 2025. She was born on September 01,1937 in Covington, Tennessee to the late John and Alberta Scroggins.
Ada loved being with her family and friends, she was so proud of her children and grandchildren and cherished every moment with each of them. Ada worked at Cleo in Memphis, Tennessee and retired after 46 years. Gardening, yard work and fishing brought Ada so much joy. She loved watching wrestling, animals, and funny movies. She loved to go to casinos, shopping, and out to eat. She also loved to listen and dance to George Jones and other older country music and hymns.
Ada is preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Robert Scroggins; daughter, Babygirl; sisters, Mary Lee Jones Gates, Bessie May Jones, Dorthy Whittemore; brother, JW Jones; great grand-children, Angel Poe, Jake Tyler Poe, John Tyler Poe; nieces, Misty Whisenant, Barbara Lee Jones; nephew, Freddie Whittemore, great-niece, Paige Jones
Ada leaves to cherish her memory; son, Roy Scroggins (Mary) of Byhalia, Mississippi; Grandchildren, Reaccia Scroggins (Dewayne) of Byhalia, Mississippi, Erin Harwell (Daniel) of Oxford, Mississippi, Gracie Scroggins (Kyle) of Mason, Tennessee, Robin Poe (Tyler) of Coldwater, Mississippi, Cola Scroggins (Chris) of Byhalia, Mississippi, Rachel Scroggins (Devin) of Nesbit, Mississippi, Arizona Scroggins (Jordan) of Missoula, Montana; great-grandchildren, Luke Sykes, Riley Sykes, Makenzie Harwell, Jason Scroggins, Marilyn Scroggins, Kooper Kemp, Kali Kemp, Peyton Poe, Addyson Poe, Saydee Poe, Rose Coon, Amelia Coon, Waylon Coon, Dawson Gross, Raelynn Gross, Ryleen Gross, Rosita Gross; three nieces, one nephew and one grandson on the way!
Ada was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed dearly and will be in our hearts forever.
