Agnes Rhea Byrd went home to be with Jesus on November 30, 2023 at the age of 95. She was born on July 10, 1928 in Morganfield, KY. She later worked the soda fountain at the local drug store, worked for the local dentist, and then worked as a PBX operator for long distance calls for the phone company. She met her husband Bill, from Uniontown, KY, while getting her bicycle tire fixed at a local gas station where he worked. They married and went on to have eight children. She was a dedicated and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, and Aunt. She held an unwavering faith in God throughout her entire life which she shared with everyone by conversation or the way she was always there to provide loving comfort to anyone in need. She was a long time parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. She joins her husband of 47 years, Dewey William Byrd Jr. and two sons, Scott Alan Byrd and Aaron Emory Byrd. She is survived by her six children Pam B. (Byrd) Harlow, (John) of Eads, TN, Steven R. Byrd (Cynthia) of Van Alstyne, TX, Teresa J. (Byrd) Wolf of Bartlett, TN, Sandra K. Byrd of Memphis, TN, Ruth A. (Byrd) Barmer (James) of Grove Hill, AL, Chris L. Byrd (Rachel) of Oakland, TN, fourteen Grandchildren, twenty Great-Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park East located at 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133 at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday,  December 5, 2023. Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
