Albert T. Schrader, 92, passed away on the Feast of the Epiphany, January 6, 2015. Born April 4, 1922 in St. Louis, MO to Albert Sr. and Julia Henley Schrader. Being a life-long member of the Traditional Roman Catholic faith, he received the Sacraments of Extreme Unction and Holy Eucharist prior to his death. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. After the war, he married Ann Meier on February 23, 1946. They were blessed with five children: Barbara (Jerry) Haney, Mary Jo (Gary) Nafus, Robert (Nancy), Jean (Carl) Hogan and James (Sherry). After Ann''s death, he married Sara Barber on February 1, 1974. He lived in St. Louis, MO from birth until 1955 when the family relocated to Kansas City and then in 1969 to the Memphis, TN area. He retired from Sergeant Manufacturing in 1988. In his retirement he enjoyed travelling, playing golf, following the KC Royals, Memphis Grizzlies and especially establishing and building St. Cecilia''s Traditional Roman Catholic Church in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ann, second Sara, his parents, brothers Robert and James, his sister Constance, and step-son Joe. He leaves behind his five children; step children Rosemary (Gerald) Jackson, Sally (Richard) Devine and Cecelia Barber; his brother Tom (Sharon) and sister-in-law Mary; 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and seven step grandchildren. Visitation at Forest Hill South Funeral Home on Friday. January 9, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Requiem High Mass at St. Cecilia''s Traditional Roman Catholic Church Saturday at 10 a.m., with interment in Forest Hill South Cemetery immediately afterward. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the St. Cecilia''s Church building fund, 28 East Peebles Road, Memphis, TN 38109.
