Albert Allen "A.A." Smith, 89, went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2012, at King's Daughters and Sons Home in Bartlett, TN, where he had been a resident for six years. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 67 years, Bettye, his daughter, Patricia (P.J.) Gunby (Gary), his grandson, Nicholas Smith (Alysun), his granddaughters, Aidan Hagood (Scott) and Rachel Smith and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Smith. Mr. Smith was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, retired from Humko Products, was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and bravely served his country in the Army in World War II. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Tuesday, March 6 with services to follow at 2, all at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Interment will be in Forest Hill East Cemetery.
