Alexander Carter (Alex), the son of Ollie and Pastor James Carter Sr. He was born July 9,1946 in Jessamine County Kentucky.

His daughter, grandson and siblings that will continue to cherish his memory are daughter Nina Carter, grandson Orion Carter, and siblings James Carter Jr., Juanita James (Luther), Cora Coulter, Joanna Robinson, Jonathan. In-Laws Mary Hurd, Elder Jack Jackson, Samuel Jackson (Shirley), Dortha Hall (Odell), Bishop Thomas, Jackson (Elverta), Sarah Johnson, Elder Donald Jackson (Phyllis), and Minister Myner Jackson (Felicia).

His parents, one brother Andrew Carter and one sister Patricia White preceded him in death. He peacefully transitioned to eternity on April 08,2023 at the age of 76, with family surrounding him with love.

Alex accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized. He was a strong and good man of God, full of life until he was called home.

Alex enjoyed collaborating with the military staff at the base. He retired from the Millington Navy Base, where he was a computer specialist for 40+ years. He never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone to make them smile.

Alex's life and legacy will forever be cherished by his loving Wife Elvira Carter; three stepsons Dewayne Rogers (Cherrisa), Delvit Rogers (Vanessa), Degory Rogers (Daniela); Nine grandchildren, Gyderious, Gyrani, Alana, De'Audria, Darnell, Melia, Orion, DJ, Ivy; and one great grandchild, Egypt. And a host of nieces and nephews and friends lives he touched along the way.
