Alford Leroy South, 84, of Ravenden, AR passed away Friday, February 14, 2020, at Manila Nursing Center. Leroy was born April 1, 1935, to Pearl and Alford South in Caraway, AR. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 64 years, Royce South; his parents; and one sister. Survivors include his daughter, Kayla MacIntyre of Memphis, TN; two grandchildren, Alicia (Jay) Harvey of Memphis, TN and Eric (Jana) MacIntyre of Bartlett, TN; five great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Sally) South of Long Beach, CA and Joe (Sondra) South of Caraway, AR; and sisters, Ernestine Simpson of Michigan and Opal Carlock of Nesbit, MS. A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill South Cemetery on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 1:00 pm. Memorials may be given in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Gideons.
