Passed from this life March 21 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born to William Fred and Mary Alice Huey August 8, 1932 in Pontotoc, MS. She was wed to J.T. Gaines and their marriage lasted 54 years until his death in 2004. She leaves her son, Tommy Gaines, of Olive Branch, MS; her "flower buddy", Lyle Hennen of Olive Branch, MS; and a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Thornton (Randy) of Townsend, TN. She is also survived by her two Grandsons whom she loved, Bradford Gaines (Carrie) of Little Rock, AR., Grant Gaines of Fayetteville, AR.; and three great-grandchildren Walker Gaines, Savannah Gaines, and Laurel Gaines all of Little Rock, AR. The family wants to thank the staff of the Memphis Jewish Home for their excellent care in watching over her the last 6 months. A private graveside service will be held.
