Juanita Weatherley Walls Tanner, 89, of Memphis, passed away on March 28, 2023 after a long battle with dementia.

Juanita was born in the town of Des Arc, Arkansas on September 27, 1933 to Walter and Mary Weatherley. Juanita and John Walls met while working at his family owned newspaper The White River Journal in Des Ark, Arkansas and were happily married till his passing.

She worked for  Union Planters Bank for over 26 years and was a longtime member of Schoolfield United Methodist Church and Raleigh United Methodist Church in Memphis.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Walls (Deanna) of Memphis, Steve Tanner of California, and Bill Tanner (Susan) of Memphis; brother, Larry Weatherley (Cindy) of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Catherine Walls and Owen Walls.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Walls and her second husband William Tanner; parents, Walter and Mary Weatherley; brothers, Linville Weatherley and Grover Weatherley; and grandchild, Zachary Walls.
