Alice O. Wood, 72, of Memphis, TN, passed away on July 7, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Jimmy L. Wood. Mrs. Wood is survived by her children, Laura Johnson (Bill), Hugh Wood (Gloria), Dale Wood (Noma), Richard Wood (Dianne), David Wood (Tami); sister, Hazel Gill (Charles); eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 10 and service will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 11 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with interment following. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
