Obituary

Allene Seaton Frix, 85, of Memphis, passed away Wednesday June 27, 2012 after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Frix in 2003. Born in Chester County, TN on June 22, 1927, Mrs. Frix was a graduate of Chester County High School. She was one of eleven children born to Frank Lee and Cora Peddy Seaton. She leaves four children, Glynn Frix (Rosemary), Rita Frix, and Shelia Cooper (Dan) all of Memphis and Scott Frix (Kerwin) of Knoxville, TN. She also had seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She leaves her brother, George Seaton of San Bernardino, CA. The family appreciated the companionship of Brenda Harris, who assisted her in the last year of her life. She retired from Sears Crosstown as a data entry supervisor where she made many lifelong friends who enjoyed coming to her house for Christmas dinner reunions. The Frix family Sunday dinners were always on the table at 5:30, with all children and grandchildren in attendance. She was a member of Berclair Baptist Church and a devoted Christian lady. Visitation is this evening, June 29, from 5-7 p.m. and funeral service is Saturday, June 30, at 2 p.m., all at Forest Hill Funeral Home East, with interment to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery East. The family requests that any memorials may be sent to Methodist Foundation Share the Care fund for Alliance Home Care, University of Tennessee Guy Frix Pharmacy Resident Fund, or the charity of the donor's choice .
