IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Andrew Paul
White
February 5, 1991 – December 27, 2024
Andrew Paul White passed away suddenly on December 27, 2024 in Bartlett, TN at the age of 33. He was born on February 05, 1991 in Memphis, TN. He lived his life dedicated to his family, friends and career. He loved all sports and was an avid fan of the Memphis Tigers. He enjoyed playing soccer, tennis, basketball and pickleball. He loved fishing at the lake at his family's home in the country. Drew believed there was only one food in the world: french fries, and he consumed his share. Drew was a very friendly guy with a big smile for everyone and everyone was his friend. His family and friends were a top priority in his life.
He was a member of the National Guard of Tennessee and proudly served his country completing a tour in Afghanistan in 2012.
At the time of his death, he was employed as a dog handler with Allied Universal. His dog, Doris, was trained to detect explosives, ammunition and weapons in packages and containers. They worked under contract to provide these services to FedEx as well as Grizzly basketball games. Drew loved his job and his partner, Doris, his dog.
Drew met the love of his life, Alicia and they were engaged to be married in June, 2025. He not only fell in love with Alicia, but also with her young daughter, Melanie. Drew quickly became the Daddy that was missing in Melanie's life and would become the lifelong partner to Alicia. His passion for sports greatly influenced Melanie and they spent many days and nights on the soccer field. For four seasons, he coached her soccer team with the Bartlett Youth Soccer Association which, with his guidance, led her to playing competitive soccer. The love they shared as a family was a God given blessing to them, their families and friends.
Drew is survived by his parents, Danny and P.J. White: uncle, Joseph Jones wife Rosemary; aunts, Linda (Art) Crotts, Peggy Choate. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Crystal White; grandparents, Paul and Lorene Jones; uncle, Ray Jones; grandparents, Buford and Myrtle White; aunts, Emma Gray (Roy), Rebecca Moore (J.R.), and Doris Smith (Stan); and uncle, Billy White (Sue).
Donations in his memory can be sent to Bartlett Youth Soccer Association, the American Heart Association or a location of your choosing.
