Angela Kay Draper (Angie), age 69, of Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025.
Angie was born on August 19, 1956, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Marvin and Hazel Gurley. She was a graduate of Frayser High School, Class of 1974. Angie went on to pursue a career in nursing, earning her degree and becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She dedicated 17 years of service to Lifeblood before retiring.
Angie had a warm and caring spirit. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, and relaxing while watching QVC. Her love for her family and her gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dan Draper, with whom she would have celebrated nine years of marriage; her two daughters, Michelle Lipa and Hazel DeWitt (Chase) of Oakland, Tennessee; five grandchildren: Jasmine Lurry, Sydney Lipa, Sarah Lipa, Charlotte DeWitt, and River DeWitt; and one great-granddaughter, Jacie Clark. She is also survived by her brother, Dennis Gurley (Sue) of Exeter, Missouri, along with several nieces and nephews.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Hazel Gurley, and her grandparents, John and Rilla Gurley.
A remembrance service will be held 11 A.M. on Monday, January 19 at Trinity Lutheran Church.
