Obituary

Anice Jane Embry Lane, 78, of Memphis, Tennessee, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on August 28, 2020. Born June 21, 1942 to Della Fae Davis Embry and Arvel Henry Embry, of Mena, Arkansas, she spent much of her life here in Memphis but loved to travel.

Anice attended Messick High School and graduated from Freed-Hardeman College she remained in Memphis working in the business administration field until she met the man that would change her life forever, her husband, Jim Lane.  Anice loved life, sports, adventure, beautiful things and could never turn down a good estate sale.  She is remembered as that girl with the smile and laugh bigger than life.   Her life became complete when she gave birth to her only daughter Mandy Lane.  Anice suffered a long-term illness that took her way too young, but her family would like to thank all those that supported her through those times and to the end.  She also leaves behind, but watches over, her two handsome grandsons, James Henry Lane and Embry Davis Lane.
