Ann Buchanan Hood, 89, of Memphis, TN died Monday, September 24, 2012. She was born July 29, 1923 in Blytheville, AR. Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by her parents, John Leslie and Jessie McFall Buchanan and her son, John Samuel Hood. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and a former member of Frayser Baptist Church. Mrs. Hood was an employee of Union Planters National Bank, Home Federal Savings and Bank of Tennessee. She is survived by her husband, Carl M. Hood, niece Karen H. Blank (Haynes) and grand-nephew Stuart Blank of Houston, TX; niece Elaine Oenning Evans of Bartlett, TN and her brother-in-law, Stanley V. Hood of Columbia, SC. Visitation will be 1-2 P.M., Thursday, September 27, 2012 with services to follow at 2 P.M., at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Interment will be in Forest Hill East Cemetery.
