On Sunday, August 15, Marie Duke Bevell passed from this life to the next.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Baxter Bevell.  Marie was born in the Blackjack area of Panola County Mississippi on February 14, 1924.  Her parents were Louis and Clyde Duke.  Marie was the surviving child of five children.  Ed, Bill, Hayward, and Mildred preceded her in death.  Marie also outlived two of her sons, Kenneth Varner and Jimmy Varner.  She is survived by two children, Randy Boren (Carol) and Judy Stanley (Ed).  In addition, Marie had three stepchildren, Roland Bevell (Sally), Baxter Bevell, Jr. (Donna), and Mary Elizabeth Barnes.  She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for more than 65 years. She was a hair stylist for 40+ years in Midtown Memphis.  She will be missed by family, friends, and all those  who knew her.

Funeral Services will be held by Forest Hill Funeral Home. Service for Anna Marie Duke Bevell will be held at 11:00 AM at the Church of Latter Day Saints 4520 Winchester Road, Memphis, TN.Interment will be held at Forest Hill South Cemetery immediately after funeral Services.
