Obituary

Anna Geraldine Moore Stewart was born January 9, 1928 in Bells, TN, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 24, 2015, after a brief hospital stay. She was 87 years old. She now joins the love of her life, Ralph Edward Stewart, her husband of 58 years. Ann graduated from Bells High School in 1945, where she proved her basketball skills as she helped her team win a state championship. After graduation, Ann moved to Memphis, where she attended Miller Hawkins Business School. Her employment profile includes the USAF in Memphis, E.H. Crump & Co, Beverly Hills Baptist Church, Lamar Heights Baptist Church, Shelby Baptist Assn, Temple Baptist Church, Auburndale School, Briarcrest Baptist Church, and Briarcrest Baptist School. She was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. Ann is survived by two daughters: Dianna Kay Stewart Ferguson (Ron) of Kansas City, MOÍ and Janet Lynn Stewart Harper (Joe) of Puryear TNÍ three grandsons, Christopher Ferguson, Patrick Ferguson (Christina), and Joe HarperÍ also, three great grandchildren, Madison, Katrina, and Payton Ferguson. Ann loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and served as a church secretary and Sunday School teacher for many years. She loved her family, she loved people, and she spent much of her time ministering to others. She loved traveling, and visited the Holy Land, Alaska, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, enjoyed several Caribbean cruises, and traveled through all fifty states. After selling her home, she moved to Kirby Pines, where she made many new friends, who grew to love her. Visitation will be held on Monday Nov 30 from 1 to 2:00 pm, with funeral services immediately following. Ridgeway Baptist Church, Memphis TN. A private graveside service will ensue, with burial in Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to Ridgeway Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society, or St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital would be appreciated.
