Annelise Peters, died on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the age of 89. Originally from East Germany, she moved to Memphis, TN in 1952 and later became a citizen of the United States. For many years she was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She worked out of the home for the National Cotton Council as a seamstress and later worked for James Davis (then Goldsmith''s) in the tailoring department. Mrs. Peters was a member of Southern Avenue Baptist Church which later became Ridgeway Baptist Church. She was so loving and kind and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Peters is survived by her son, Harald and her daughter, Katie; son-in-law Jack; grandchildren Jenni and her husband Chris, Colleen, Brian, Elizabeth, Christine, Tim, Tanya; and great-grandchildren, CJ, Brandon, Colin, Annie, Anthony, Logan, Devin and Francie. Visitation will be 12-2 P.M., Thursday, August 30, 2012 with graveside services to follow at 2 P.M. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home and Cemetery.
