Annie Ree Sparks, 88, of Memphis, TN passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Hearthside Senior Living.  Annie was born on April 27, 1932 in Bethel Springs, TN.  She married her husband and moved to Memphis at age 18. Shortly after she went to work for Kimberly Clark. In 1960 they adopted their first child. She quit work to be a full-time mom and wife. They adopted their second child in 1962. She was a devoted mother and Christian.  She was heavily involved in her church and worked with the ladies auxiliary. For the next 10 years she volunteered her time with the PTA, girl scouts and boy scouts. She loved to sew and made a lot of her children's clothing. She also had a passion for gardening and loved working in her flower beds. In 1972 she decided to return to work and eventually was rehired by Kimberly Clark where she retired in 1994.

Annie is survived by her daughter Phyllis Fortunato and husband Gregg, 3 grandchildren, Erica and husband Kirby, Derick and wife Heather and Kenny, and 6 great grandchildren, Cameron, Alexis, Kaydence, Sebastian, Keigan and Alyssa.  She was predeceased by her husband, William T. Sparks and her son, Kenneth Sparks.
