Our beloved brother in Christ, Anthony R. Martins III (Tony), passed away 08/28/2024 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, TN.

He was born on 11/21/1955 in Fairfax, S.C. to Anthony R. Martins, Jr. and Olivia Wynell Sparks Martins. Upon graduation, he relocated to Memphis, TN., then to a long residency in Counce, TN. He was the Estimator and Project Manager for Cross Concrete Construction, Inc.

Tony was very outgoing and known for his gift of conversation and storytelling and the ability to make everyone laugh. He loved golf, Alabama football and Nascar racing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Anthony R. Martins IV; his brother, Mark Anthony Martins; and stepfather, Anthony Ferraro.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Renea O. Martins of Counce, TN.; his brother, Craig R. Martins (Pamela) of Como, MS.; two half-sisters, Crystal Martins and son of Augusta, GA., Cindy Martins and children of Fayetteville, NC.; grandchildren Tyler Mackenzie Martins, Ollie Anna Barnes (Daniel) of Virginia Beach, VA.; great grandchild, Scarlett Ann Barnes of Virginia Beach, VA.; nieces, Amanda Jo Martins of Louisville, KY., and Savannah L. Martins of Southaven, MS.; nephew Thomas Joseph Martins of Davidson, NC.; and great niece, Mallory Renea Walker of Fort Wayne, IN.

A celebration of life for Tony will be held at Forest Hill (East) Funeral Home on Whitten Rd. Memphis, TN. On 09/05/2024. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00pm with a committal service to follow at Memphis Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Calvary Rescue Mission, Love Worth Finding, St. Jude Hospital, or Tunnel – to- Towers.
