Aquila Faye Hayes (Tootsie), 85, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. She was born on March 27, 1935 to the late Wesley and Lessie Dailey in Parsons, TN. She is preceded in death by her brother, Murry Dailey, sisters, Verna Primm and Martha Livingston, and son-in-law, Victor Canaday. She was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother who loved taking care of her family and will be greatly missed. She was a great cook who enjoyed traveling with her family, and took joy in feeding and watching hundreds of hummingbirds each season on her house deck. She was known for welcoming everyone into her home and treating all as family. She leaves behind, her husband of 64 years, Hayward Hayes; a daughter, Sherrie Canaday; a son, Kenny Hayes; two granddaughters, Leslie South (Mike) and Lindsey Roberts;  two great grandchildren, Maddie and Jase South. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Graveside services for family and friends will be held at Forest Hill East Funeral Home and Cemetery on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 10:00 AM.  Donations may be made to West Cancer Foundation at Westcancerfoundation.org or a charity of your choice.
