Archie Tyler Jr., 81 of Olive Branch, MS passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 Tuesday at Forest Hill Funeral Home South with interment to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery South. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Archie was born and raised in Oxford, MS and graduated from Oxford High School. After retiring from Sears he became an independent distributor for Jackson Cookie Company. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Archie was a volunteer fireman for the Nesbit Fire Department and a member of the First Baptist Church in Olive Branch, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Grace Tyler; a son Mike Tyler; and a sister, Kathleen Wilson. Archie leaves his wife of 62 years, Mary; one son, Steve (Iris) Tyler, of Southaven; a daughter, Debbie (Judd) Killebrew, of Southaven; two brothers, Marion Tyler, of Water Valley, MS, and Edward Tyler, of Oxford, MS; one sister, Charolette Rayborn, of Jonesboro, AR; three grandchildren, Marcus (Kara) Killebrew, Wes (Mandi) King, and Kriste (Mike) Park; four great-grandchildren, Kimber Killebrew, Joshua Park, Mekenzie King, and Christopher King; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Advantage, especially Sharon, Pennie, and Jenna.
