Arlene Krist McPherson "Kris" was born to John and Marie Krist on March 23rd, 1928 in St. Louis Missouri. She had one brother, Melvin F. Krist. Kris always spoke highly of her brother. On June 5th, 1954, she married Raymond Calvin McPherson in Ontario California. Several years later, they became parents of James Krist McPherson on August 29th, 1961 in Lancaster California. Soon thereafter they moved to a farm in Moscow, Tennessee to be closer to family. Kris loyally supported Raymond in his dream of running a farm. Kris had many talents. She was a talented seamstress. For many years she enjoyed playing the piano. She was an avid bowler, a hobby that she continued playing even at 91 years of age. She enjoyed playing bunko, and outings with her 'Red Hat' lady friends. Kris was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be remembered as a loyal pillar in the family who was strong and independent, but always ready to help others when needed. Although quick-witted and smart, she was not quick to judge others, rather she listened with an open mind. Kris passed away peacefully in her home in Memphis, TN on January 10, 2020. She is survived by her son James Krist McPherson, his daughter Ginger Krist Gridley, and many nieces and nephews.
