Austin E. Monroe was born to Emmett and Earlene Monroe in Iuka, MS on April 1 st , 1944. Austin graduated from Tishomingo County High School in 1962. In his early adult life Austin served in the United States Army from 1965-1967. In August of 1970, he married Charlotte Beasley and later fathered two sons Andy and Randy. He retired from Wonder Bread-Hostess shipping department after 34 years. Throughout his life he maintained a love of hunting and fishing, and of course his garden. He enjoyed going to breakfast with a few close friends every morning, other than Sunday which he reserved for worshiping the lord at Redemption Baptist Church, of which he and his wife are members.
He was preceded in death by his mother Earlene and father Emmet, and two brothers Noel, and Albert. He is survived by his sister Shelby, his wife Charlotte, his sons and their wives Andy and Tanja, Randy and Pam, his granddaughters Morgan and Sadie, and his great grandson Hudson and his beloved Penny.
Austin's visitation will be held at Redemption Church in Hernando, MS from 11am-1pm on Friday, November 18 th , 2022. His funeral will begin at 1. The family plans to arrive at his graveside at Forest Hill Funeral Home on Whitten Rd. in Bartlett at 2:45 for his burial.
