Barbara Lee Lape, age 89, longtime resident of Horn Lake, MS and wife of the late, Robert Lape, departed this life early Friday morning, June 2, 2017 at her daughter''s home.

Mrs. Lape was born October 10, 1927 in Braden, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Edward and Marjorie Lee Barrett. She loved reading the Bible, music and watching television.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Larry and Sharon Lape; daughter and son in law, Donna and Barry Kemp; sister, Effie Foti of Horn Lake, MS; three grandchildren, David (Abby) Kemp, Rachel Kemp, Shea (Chris) Blankenship; six great grandchildren, Dalton Blankenship, Kyndal Durhan, Landon Blankenship, Sage Kemp, Aspen Kemp, and Meadow Kemp.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son, Danny; and sisters, Evelyn Bowling and Elsie McVay Trotter.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 5 until service begins at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East with interment following.
