Barbara Jean Burress, 87, of Bartlett, TN passed away on January 30, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis.  Mrs. Burress was born in Memphis, TN (Whitehaven) to the late James and Viola Hunt.  She retired after 30 years from Kellogg, and was a member of the Eastern Star. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; also three sisters:  Margaret Galbreth, Beverly Biffle, and Joyce Inzer; and one brother, James Hunt. She leaves her husband, Freeman Burress; five children:  Norma Young (Mike) of Cordova, Denise Turner of Memphis, Dennis Burress (Carole) of Cherokee Village, AR, Jo Ann Kane of Gulf Port, MS, and Bobby Burress (Frankie) of Arlington, TN; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019,  with service immediately following at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, East .
