Barbara Jean Wiggins Hardy, 79, of Memphis died peacefully at her home on January 20, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband Mitchel (Mike) Eugene Hardy, her sister Viola Chambers, her brother Arthur Franklin (Pete) Wiggins, and her parents Alvin Jackson Wiggins and Lenore Ball Wiggins. She is survived by her daughter Melody Diane Hardy, her grandson Cody Jackson Hardy Hobbs, and her brothers Travis Lee Wiggins (Marilyn), Lonnie Wiggins (Gwen), Billy Wiggins, Donald Wiggins (Brenda), and her sister Georgia Mae Fox (Frank). She also leaves behind 8 nieces, 9 nephews, and the extended members of the Wiggins and Hardy families. She was a loving, kind and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor. She was a valued employee at National Drywall in Memphis, Tennessee, where she worked for 49 years. Visitation will be held Monday, January 26, from 5-7 p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home, located at 2440 Whitten Road. A service will be held at Forest Hill East Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 27, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. The prayer ceremony will be held at the Committal Building, West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Forest Hill-Irene Road beginning at 3:30 p.m.
