Barbara Lou Harrison, 83, born October 27, 1933, died May 27, 2017. Barbara was raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She is survived by her husband, Don Harrison, her four children, Michael David Lee, Martin Douglas Lee, Jeffery Karl Lee and Jael (David) Smith, and her granddaughter, Gracie LeeAnne Smith.

Barbara earned her nursing degree from Camden Arkansas School of Nursing and worked nights in the ER in Camden. She earned an Associates Degree from Memphis State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She had a nursing career that spanned 40 years; 30 years of her career were at St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis, and she retired from Methodist University Hospital, Memphis.

She was a good friend to many, loved the Lord and her family dearly. One of her favorite past times was her monthly card games and lunches with friends. She loved watching the birds and animals outside her kitchen window. Her beloved dogs have always been her most cherished companions.

Visitation will be Friday, June 2 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m., with a memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Highland Heights United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
