Barbara J. Swanson, 82, of Hardeman County, TN, went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2016. She was born on December 10, 1933 in Youngstown, Ohio and later moved to Memphis, Tennessee. In 2013 she moved to Hardeman County to live with her daughter and son in law. She worked for 52 years at S.C.Toof Printing and retired in 2013. She was a member of Raleigh United Methodist Church and enjoyed dabbling in her hobbies of baking cakes and specialty wedding cakes. She was most know for her handwriting and Calligraphy for wedding invitations and quilting with her daughter. Mrs. Swanson is survived by two daughters, Leslie Pannell from Atoka, TN, Kimberly Rixie and son in law Howard Rixie of Hardeman County; sister, Sandy Ola of Fairfax, VA; brothers, Jay Neville of Chicago, IL, Leo Neville of Florida, Terry Neville of Ohio; grandson, Steve and his wife, Debbie; and three great grandchildren, Aleksandra, Cristofor and Evahni. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Swanson; mother and father, Margaret and Vincent Neville from Youngtown, Ohio; sister, Carol Neville; and son in law, Floyd Pannell. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, November 28 and service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 29 at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East. Interment will be 12 noon at National Cemetery.
