Barbara was born February 24, 1938, in Memphis to Garner and Sadie Kirk Hayes, and died September 20, 2022 . Barbara graduated from Memphis Southside High School . She was married to Robert (Bobby) Eugene Ray for 64 yea rs . Bobby and Barbara raised two children , Rob Ray, and Lisa Ray Roten . She was Gamma to eight grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren . Barbara worked in administration at Beldon Enterprises for many years . She was very athletic and was especially talented in s oftball and bowling. She enjoyed camping, fishing, watersports and following the activities of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Barbara loved her family and friends, many of whom were with her at the end . She loved the Lord and was active in Unity Baptist Church until her illness prevented her from serving and attending.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Bobby Ray, her son, Rev. Rob Ray, and wife Ann; her daughter, Lisa Boehler Ray Roten and her husband Randy; her grandchildren, Christinann Ray Gardner and husband Shawn; Christopher Ray and wife Holly; Joshua Ray and wife Kristen; Hunter Ray , Marcus Boehler, and wife Ali; Matt Boehler and wife H annah; Mallory Boehler Bradley and husband Chip, Meribeth Boehler Carpenter, and husband Matt. Twenty-one great g randchildren: Kate Gardner , Reece Gardner , Corrie Ann Gardner , and Caleb Gar dn er; Elias Ray , Judah Ray , Noah Ray , Elianna Ray, Caius Ray , Dalton Boehler , Lily Boehler , Wesley Boehler, Anniston Boehler , Allyn Boehler , Ava Boehler, Trip p Bradley , Rhett Bradley , Millie Grace Bradley , Maggie Kate Bradley , Jackson Price, John Thomas Carpenter , t wo Sisters , Kay Johnson and husband Floyd, Lynn Hayes Donnell and husband Wayne , and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Unity Baptist Church, 825 Unity Church Rd., Ramer, Tennessee, from noon to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, and Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
