Benjamin Gordon Spencer passed away on June 29, 2018.  His wife Florence Spencer Brooks and his daughter Florence Elizabeth Spencer preceded him in death.  He leaves behind nine children; Goldie, Benjamin Jr., Cecilia, Phillip, Kenneth, Debora (Debbie), Laura, Mary Teresa, Amanda (Amy), and 15 grandchildren and was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Phillip Jr., Spenser, and Isaac.  He also leaves behind four great-grandchildren.  He worked for many years for the railroad and later trained and worked in electronic and HVAC technology.  He had a great sense of humor and regularly made the minutiae of life hilarious.  He was a colorful human being and no one who knew him as King of the Hill on Summer Avenue will be able to forget him.
