Bennie Marie Toevs of Katy, Texas, was born on February 3, 1932 in Looxahoma, Mississippi. She has lived in Katy for the last ten years and was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. Bennie passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at her home in Katy, at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her son, Artie Toevs and his wife Jane; daughter, Jacki Harris and her husband Joe; grandchildren, Keaton Toevs and Ashley Freeze, Logan Toevs, Nick Harris, and Cody Harris; great- grandson, Bentlee Toevs; sister, Anita Marberry and her husband Robert; nieces, Robin and Leigh; and special friend and caregiver, Cristina. At this time, the family has not scheduled any services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Bennie Toevs'' name to the Parkinson''s Houston Area Society, 2700 Southwest Freeway, Suite #284, Houston, Texas 77098. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2015, 10:00 am at Forest Hill Funeral Home Cemetery South, 2545 East Holmes Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38118.
