Bernard Lee "Ben" Mayfield, 81, of Memphis, TN, died Friday, January 10, 2014. He was retired from Peterbilt Trucking, a member of Carriage Hills Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Mayfield is survived by his wife of sixty years, Ruth Mayfield; daughter, Jan Joiner (Richard) of Southaven, MS; sons, Tim Mayfield (Katrina) of Marion, AR and Jason Mayfield (Suzanne) of Cordova, TN and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m., Sunday, January 12 at Forest Hill South Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m., Monday at the funeral home with interment to follow.
