Bernice Mullins Austin, 99 years of age, passed away peacefully while at her home in Memphis, TN on May 17, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband Mr. JD Austin, her son, Jerry Austin, her daughter, Betty Webb, her parents Sim and Sally Mullins; along with 9 brothers and sisters. Mrs Austin is survived by her daughter Peggy Austin Wilbanks, daughter, Shirley Austin Lowry, 9 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Austin's religion was baptist. She loved her family, she enjoyed working in the yard and attending to her flowers and gardening. She was loved by everyone and she loved everyone and never met a stranger. Visitation and services will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home. Times for visitation will be Monday 5:00 Pm to 7:00 PM and Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Forest Hill Funeral Home East following the funeral Services Tuesday.
