Obituary

Mrs. Bernice Tankersley Fink passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the age of 97, in DeBary, FL. She was born June 12, 1920 in Water Valley, MS, the daughter of Teller Bryan and Savilla Rea Tankersley. She was united in marriage to Robert J. Fink on January 3, 1940 in Memphis, TN. He preceded her in death April 15, 1979.

As a Memphis resident for over 80 years, Mrs. Fink was a member of Audubon Park Baptist Church, the Rebekahs Assembly and The King's Daughters. She was the past president of Sharp and Sherwood PTAs, worked with several charities and in the late 60's and 70's sold real estate and was a TOP PRODUCER for Martin & Herring Real Estate.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandi (Mike) McCutcheon. DeBary, FL; granddaughters, Tracie (Chris) Rathbun, New Smyrna Beach, FL and Troy Fink, Memphis; daughter-in-law, Melanie Fink, Memphis; grandsons, Jarrod, Jacob and Wyatt Rathbun, New Smyrna Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Louise Fink, Memphis; cousin, Derril (Louise) Rea, Tupelo, MS; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Bryan Fink, and sisters, Martha Kay Cross, Mary Catherine Smith, Jeanne DeBlock and Joann Phillips.

Funeral services and burial will be held Thursday, July 13, at 10 a.m., at Forest Hill Cemetery, 1661 South Elvis Presley Blvd., Memphis, TN 38106.
