Bertie Lavern Baker, 88, of Pope, MS went to be with the Lord Saturday April 16, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William W. Baker; son, William "Woody" Baker, Jr.; and two grandchildren: Erin Marie Baker and Jeremy Alvin Baker. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Baker Denley (Rickie); son, Alvin Lavern Baker (Linda); 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Melbalain Busby; and daughter-in-law, Pam Baker. A visitation will be held from 12-2 pm with a funeral service at 2:00 on Thursday April 21, 2016. All services and interment will be held at Forest Hill, South on Holmes Rd.
