Bettie Fae Ledbury, eighty-eight, passed away peacefully at home in Eads, TN on January 12th, 2025.  Bettie Fae was raised in Cardwell, MO where she graduated from Cardwell High School. After graduation, she moved to Memphis, TN where she worked for Union Planters, Holiday Inn, the IRS, and Josten's during her professional career.  On January 29, 1956, Bettie Fae married Lyle Ledbury.  In 1958 after the birth of their first son, she became a dedicated homemaker.  Bettie Fae was a member of the West Fayette Church of Christ.  She often volunteered her time and efforts to help with class materials and other church functions. Known for her pragmatic nature, Bettie Fae was someone friends and family knew they could come to for sensible advice.  She enjoyed playing cards and often attended Hand and Foot tournaments with Lyle.  Her laughter and kind words will be missed by all who knew her. Bettie Fae is survived by one daughter, Shelah Ledbury; two sons Keith Ledbury and Cary (Gloria) Ledbury; five grandchildren, Emily (Dustin) Spayde, Jonathan (Brittney) Ledbury, Nathan (Lia) Ledbury, Olivia Jackson, Brooke Jackson; three great grandchildren, Ruth Spayde, Caleb Spayde, and Sawyer Ledbury. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Ledbury; her father, Harold Brooks; her mother, Zella Brooks; as well as one brother, Delbert Brooks.
