IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty Sue
Baker
March 1, 1939 – October 13, 2025
Betty Sue Baker, 86, of Bartlett, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025.
Born on March 1, 1939, Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered around faith, family, and home. She took great pride in being a homemaker — a role she carried out with devotion and care. Her home was always spotless. Betty believed in order, faith, and the comfort of routine.
She was a faithful Southern Baptist who loved her church and her Lord. Her favorite scripture, "Be still and know that I am God," reflected the peace and trust she carried in her heart.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Vanessa Danley and Donnita Sue Baker, and son-in-law Dewayne Danley Sr.; her grandchildren, Katrina Danley Munoz, Dewayne Danley Jr., and Ryne Danley, along with grandson-in-law Juan Carlos Munoz Sr. and granddaughter-in-law Kimberly Danley; her great-grandchildren, Destiny Munoz, Juan Carlos Munoz Jr., Peyton Danley, Kayden Wright, Gavin Wright, Samuel Danley, and great-grandson-in-law Tristen Medrano. She is also survived by her brother, Buddy Cryer, her sister, Judy Cryer Watkins, brother-in-law Barry Watkins, sisters-in-law Edna Cryer and Dale Cryer, three nieces, and six nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald David Baker, and her brother, Johnny Cryer.
Betty and Donald shared a true and enduring love — one that time and distance could never diminish. After years apart, they are now reunited, hand in hand once more.
Betty will be remembered for her strength, her steadfast faith, and the love she poured into her family. Though she has gone home, her spirit and the lessons she taught will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
