Betty Sue Barr 93

Betty met her Lord and Savior face to face on Monday January 19th, 2026.
She was born to Jack and Bertha Ward in Paragould, Arkansas on November 17, 1932.

Betty was married to Harrison Barr for over 50 years, together they raised their son Jeff who was the light of Betty's life. She worked for Cannon Heating and Air for many years until her and Harrison started Barr Heating and Air in Memphis, TN. She had a passion for basketball where she played in high school and was also homecoming queen. She loved watching the Memphis Tigers play, working in her yard, planting flowers, traveling with friends, shopping, and eating out. She also loved listening to quartet gospel music & going to gospel concerts with friends. Betty was a longtime member of Bridgeway Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, MS.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harrison, and her son Jeff. She is survived by her
cousin Becky (Jerry) Pratt, her sister-in-law WiIma Barr, her niece Leigh Anne Denning, her nephews  Bub Cannon, Gary Cannon, Ronnie Barr
and close family friend Gena Bumpas. She leaves behind a host of friends she loved like family.

Betty was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
