Betty Jane Bryant, 88, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.  She was a very generous woman, who spent her life working and helping her family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Boone Bryant, in 2006.  They had no children.  Betty is predeceased by parents, Walter Lee Swanson and Elizabeth Ann (Atkeison) Swanson; brothers, Harvell and James Thomas Swanson; and sister, Sallie Louise Swanson, who passed in infancy.  Betty is survived by her sister, Mary Frances (Swanson) Reeves, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  Visitation will be on Saturday, April 27, 2019, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., with service immediately following at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, East. 901-382-1000
