Betty Louise Caldwell, age 88, of Eads, TN, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at her home. She was born in Corinth, MS on February 26, 1933 to the late Clayton and Eva Lena (Cockrell) Burcham.
Betty Louise and her family moved to Memphis around 1940 and she started 1 st grade at Ellendale Elementary School. Around 1944, they moved to Whitehaven, where she attended the rest of her school years. She was very outgoing and had many friends and was a majorette in the marching band. She later met Ronald Walker Caldwell and they married in December of 1951. They had four children, Ronald Walker Caldwell, Jr., Michael Eugene Caldwell, Teresa Yvonne Wesson, and Vada Lauraine Caldwell, 10 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. She attended Belvue Baptist Church and was an active member of her Sunday School class, and was also known for winning major awards for her chili in their competition and was known widely for her coconut cream pie.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Forest Hill Funeral Home East from 2:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00. Burial will be private at Forest Hill Memorial Park East.
