Betty Jo Carter Sartain of Bolton, TN was born June 30, 1939 and after years of fighting the good fight with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, she went to be with her Lord and Savior March 8, 2018. She will be missed by so many because she was loved by so many. She was a strong woman of Faith that loved Jesus and her family with all her heart and soul. She truly had a servant's heart and was selfless and loving beyond measure. Emamma (Aunt Betty – Miss Betty) was the most precious Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and Friend. She loved to laugh and poured her love into all that she met. She touched so many in the most special way.

Miss Betty was a Sunday School Teacher in a little rural community that only had one Sunday School Class for all age kids. She will never know the extent of her faithfulness to be present for these children and the impact she made teaching them about Jesus. Betty also worked at Arlington Development Center where she made many life-long friends. She also loved her church Faith Baptist and eagerly anticipated Sunday morning and attending church to hear the Word preached by Brother Danny Sinquefield and Worship our Lord. She enjoyed Sunday lunch at Sling Shot Charlies and watching the Grizzlies with her sweetheart Harvey. She loved her weekly excursions to Sam's and Walmart and the people would greet her by her name Miss Betty.

Betty leaves behind her sweetheart Harvey Ricks, her daughter Lisa Renner (Steve), her son Mickey Sartain (Shari), her grandson Brent Renner (Ashley, Ava, Davis, Amelia) her granddaughter Rachel Jacques (Michael, Lizzie, Joanna) and her sister Barbara Dean (Richard). She leaves so many more beloved family members – too many to even list.

Betty was greeted at Heaven's gates by her husband Wayne Sartain, her grandsons Jake Renner and Elliot Sartain and her parents Charles Sevell Carter and Eva Barfield Carter.

Betty's Life Celebration Service will be held at Forrest Hill East Cemetery on Whitten Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be Monday evening, March 12 ^th from 5-7 pm.
