Obituary

Betty Jean "Fewell" Clark, daughter of James E. Fewell and Minnie Bell "Barcroft" Fewell, died December 5, 2018.  She was preceded by her husband, R. Randolph "Doc" Clark, and her son, Dr. Monty C. Clark.  She is survived by her son, Baron C. "Barry" Clark, sister, Nancy Jane Richardson, and various cousins. Betty Jean Clark was born in Crocket Mills, TN on November 29, 1930, and graduated as valedictorian of Hamlett-Robertson High School's class of 1948 in Crocket Mills, TN.  She was also on the basketball team and participated in  various other extracurricular clubs and organizations. Betty was loved almost immediately by anyone and everyone she met, and had a heart of gold as evidenced by the fact that she was a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital on Park Avenue for more than 44 years.  In addition, Betty donated her time and efforts to various other charitable organizations, including the Golden Rule Circle of the King's Daughters and Sons.   According to her son, if one were to look up "MOM" in the dictionary, one is likely to find a picture of Betty. Betty Jean Clark was a member of Kingsway Christian Church on Poplar Avenue for more than 50 years.
