Betty was born in Calhoun City, Mississippi and moved to Memphis, Tennessee as a young adult.  She was a very successful real estate broker for more than 50 years, both in Memphis and later in Dallas, Texas.
Betty was preceded in death by her mother Deloris Crawford, father Jesse Fox, and sister Francis Kee.  She is survived by her two children, Fred W. Reed, Jr. and Scarlett Reed Booth, both of Dallas, Texas.  Betty is also survived by two grandchildren, Sable Murry-Brown, DVM and Fred Reed, III,as well as two great grandchildren, Riley Reed and Addison Marie Reed, all of Dallas, Texas.  She also leaves behind her nephew Tim Parker of Dallas and niece, Carol Kee Minneci of Memphis, Tennessee.   Betty also leaves five step siblings, Peggy Webb, Larry Crawford, Gary Crawford, Bobby Crawford and Shirley Howell and will be missed by countless other beloved family members and friends.
Betty was an active member and former deacon at Bentwood Presbyterian Church in Dallas.  Her work ethic was unmatched, as was her zest for life.  Her smile, warmth and energy was contagious and she loved people.  However, nothing was more important to Betty than her family and her faith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Betty's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
