Betty Nell Glover Dowdy, 81, of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016. Mrs. Dowdy was born in Somerville, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Charles E. Dowdy, a grandson, Michael Troy Dowdy, her brother Ray Farris Glover, and her sister Barbara Sue Haire. She is survived by her brother Henry Glover. Mrs. Dowdy also leaves behind her three children, Janet DeStefanis (Rick), Chuck Dowdy (Sandra) and Kenneth Dowdy (Tina) as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dowdy was an active member of Church Road Baptist Church in Horn Lake.

Viewing will be Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home South, 2545 East Holmes Rd. Memphis, Tennessee with a memorial service on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Church Road Baptist Church, 3660 Church Rd, Horn Lake, Mississippi followed by burial at Autumn Woods Memorial Park in Olive Branch, MS.
