Betty Koen Green passed away on July 31, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 95. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, to J. D. and Birdie Wright Koen. She was married to William Paul Green, Jr., and had three sons - William Paul Green III, Larry Joe (Catherine) Green, and Jerry Tyler Green. She is survived by her three sons, two grandchildren (Lauren Green and Nick Green, and a great granddaughter (Skye).

After graduating from high school, Betty worked for the phone company in Memphis, where she met Bill. Paul and Larry were born in Memphis, and Tyler was born in Charlotte. Bill's work then took them to Nashville where the family was involved in the work of West End Church of Christ.

In Nashville, she worked for Cain Sloan and Castner Knott department stores primarily in the designer women's department. She was known for helping her friends and fellow church

members with their clothing choices.

Betty had many life-long friends and traveled often to Memphis to play bridge. For many years, she bowled, played bridge, and line danced. On her trips to Memphis, she also spent time with family members. One of her friends decorated country clubs and rest stops on the interstate system; Betty often went with her to install the new décor.

Betty was gregarious, charming, welcoming, and easy to talk to. Betty was loving toward everyone but especially toward her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She was loved. She will be missed.

A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, August 11, 2025, at 10:00am.
