Betty Jane Forbes Hanks, 88, died February 24, 2018.  She was born June 18, 1929, in Munford, TN to Ruby and Major Forbes.  She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Wayne Hanks; a daughter, Phyllis (Ron) Hansen; a son, Steve (Elaine) McCullough; a grandson, John Andrew McCullough; a sister, Mary Huffman; and a brother, Owen Forbes.  Visitation and funeral services will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery, 2440 Whitten Road , Memphis , TN , 38133 on Wednesday, February 28, 2018.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, with a memorial service immediately following at 12 noon.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in memory of Mrs. Hanks be sent to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 1770 Johnson Ferry Road , Marietta , GA , 30062 or to a charity of the donor's choice.  Online condolences may be offered at www.foresthillfh.com .
