Betty J. Turner, 81, formerly of Memphis, TN, passed away at her home in Houlka, MS on January 6, 2017. She was born on March 24, 1936 in Houston, MS, to Freddie and Lucille Griffin (deceased). She was the co-owner of Veteran's Cab Company. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Sheila McClain and Donna Turner; a son, James Milton Turner; a brother, Bobby Griffin; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bilbo Turner; and a sister, Frances Beaty. Visitation for Mrs. Turner will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, South, located at 2545 East Holmes Road in Memphis, TN. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 13, 2018, also at Forest Hill Funeral Home, South. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, South.
