Betty Martinez "Spud,"74, was born to Samuel and Eula V. Smith on December 26, 1945.  She was the sibling of 11 children, 6 girls and 5 boys. Betty attended Howard Field High School in Malden, MO where she met Oliver and married from their union they had 3 children. Karen of Long Beach, CA,  Zelda of Victoville, CA and Vincent of California. Betty accepted Christ an early age.  She knew her Bible, studying it all the time. She was a hard worker and worked all of her life. Norris Industry Long Beach United School District where she retired.  She loved to cook, go to the thrift shop, casino and be with her grandkids.  She met Maragarito Manuel Martinez and they married 1990 and were married until her death. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Maragarito, her 3 children, Karen, Zelda, and Vincent, 11 grandkids and 10 great-grand kids, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, son in laws, and so many friends. There will be a private family viewing on Friday, April 3 at 1:00 p.m. with a release of white doves following.  The family will be having a private Home Going Celebration after their private viewing.
