Obituary

Betty Mary McKinnie(Aunt Betty) passed away Monday April 12th at Kings Daughters and Son's Home at the age of 90. She was the daughter of
John Raymond McKinnie and Clyce Lorene LaVelle, both preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her brothers Martin Edward Mckinnie
and Moore LaVelle McKinnie and sisters Lallie Lee Henley and Virginia Karl (Ginny) McKinnie.

Betty is survived by her niece and nephew, Danny and Ginger Ford who cared for her for several years. She leaves many other nieces, nephews
and great nieces and nephews and her Aunt Annie June Pumphrey.

She was born in Memphis, TN, July 4th,1930. Graduating from Treadwell High School in 1949. Then enlisting in the United States Army, serving
4 years. Returning home, she entered Draughon's Business College, earning a degree in business office management, which would serve her
life long career as secretary and in office management.

Betty was very patriotic, loved her country and was proud to have served in the Army. It is well fitting that she was born on the 4th of
July. She loved playing tricks on her nieces and nephews and always had some new trick "up her sleeve" for the next visit. She loved all
animals, but her dogs were her favorite and were very well cared for. Her mother once stated "If reincarnation is real, I would want to come
back as one of Betty's dogs, most people do not get as great of care"

A military salute will be performed at the graveside service.
